LiteToon Privacy Policy
This policy is prepared based on the current features and code implementation of LiteToon. It explains how the app handles data related to browsing, searching, and reading comics. Before publication, please review this policy together with the actual operator information, target regions, and app store requirements.
1. Information We Collect and Use
LiteToon is a comic browsing and reading app. It provides home recommendations, category browsing, search, comic details, chapter reading, bookshelf favorites, and reading history. The app currently does not provide account registration, login, payment, comments, or in-app feedback features.
To provide these features, the app may process the following information:
- Search keywords: When you use the search feature, your search keywords are sent to the configured comic content API to return search results. The app also stores up to 10 recent search records locally on your device for easier repeat searches.
- Reading and bookshelf data: When you read, favorite, or continue reading comics, the app stores comic items, favorite status, last read chapter, last page number, and update time locally on your device. This is used to display your bookshelf, reading history, and continue-reading entry.
- Comic content cache: To improve loading speed and reading experience, the app caches comic details, chapter page data, and image data locally on your device.
- Install referrer information: The app may obtain install referrer parameters through Google Play Install Referrer and store the resolved routing result locally. This is used to select a content service route or identify the type of install source.
- Network request information: The app needs internet access to request comic lists, search results, comic details, chapter pages, and image resources. When processing these requests, network service providers may receive common network log information, such as IP address, device network information, request time, request path, and User-Agent.
2. Permissions
The app currently declares only the internet access permission (INTERNET). This permission is used to connect to comic content APIs and download comic covers and page images. The app does not request sensitive permissions such as contacts, SMS, call logs, precise location, camera, microphone, calendar, or Bluetooth.
3. Local Storage and System Backup
Search history, favorites, reading history, comic detail cache, chapter cache, and image cache are mainly stored locally on your device. You can delete this local data by clearing app data in system settings or uninstalling the app.
The app enables Android backup capabilities. If you enable system cloud backup or device transfer features, some app data may be backed up or transferred by Android or your device manufacturer according to their backup rules. You can manage device backup features in system settings.
4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
To provide comic browsing and reading features, the app accesses the configured comic content API. The API domain currently configured in the code is api.kwnnelopl.com. The app may also access image resource URLs returned by that content API. These services may process network logs and content requests according to their own rules.
The app may use Google Play Install Referrer to read install source information. This capability is provided by Google Play. Please refer to the relevant Google Play and Android platform policies for more information about how Google handles such data.
Except for comic content loading, install source identification, system backup, or legal compliance purposes, the app currently does not actively sell, rent, or exchange your personal information with third parties.
5. Children and Minors
If you are a minor, please use this app under the guidance of a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians should pay attention to minors' content preferences, usage time, and network environment when using comic reading services.
6. Data Security
The app requests comic content APIs through HTTPS and stores user-side data mainly in the app's private local storage area. Please note that no internet transmission or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We will take reasonable protection measures appropriate to the app's features.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- You can clear text in the search page. Recent search records will be deleted when app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled.
- You can delete local bookshelf and reading history data by unfavoriting comics, clearing app data, or uninstalling the app.
- You can disable or manage system-level features such as app backup and network access in system settings.
- If you need to make an inquiry, complaint, or exercise data rights under applicable law, please contact us through the developer contact information displayed in the app store.
8. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy when app features, data processing methods, or applicable requirements change. The updated policy may be displayed through the app, app store page, or other appropriate methods. If an update involves material changes, we recommend that you read it carefully before continuing to use the app.
